Directions

The Professional Accelerator Program is designed to create a plan for NSA GA members who have achieved the Professional Speaker designation and are ready to take their business to the next level -- and -- become a thought leader in their niche.

Program Dates:
May 2021 - April 2022
Participants will share where they are in their business, what they want to achieve in the next 12 months, and the specific areas of growing their business that will have the greatest impact for them.

Format: Participants will focus on building a business plan that they will execute from May 1, 2021 to May 1, 2022 and will complete the following elements as a part of the business plan development:

Monthly mastermind/accountability meeting

  • Each month the participants will have a mastermind/accountability meeting that will focus on each of our businesses and strategies to move forward through the next month.

  • Zoom cohort meeting will focus on results update, action plans for the next 30 days, celebrating successes, examining failures and struggles.

Monthly learning experiences with experts

  • Each month the Accelerator participants will have a 60-minute call with an expert based on the theme for that month. Because of the limited size, these can be customized based on the needs of the group.

Individual discussion with John Brantley

  • As the facilitator of the group, John will have a telephone or zoom conversation with each person at the beginning of April to discuss each person’s goals, needs, aspirations, and transition thoughts.

Goals Establish – Participants will define the following:

  • Defining “next level” for each person in the cohort.

  • Market position goals, market expansion goals, product/program development goals, revenue stream development goals, market share, clients, revenue per client, profitability, call to close ratio.

Transition needs

  • Moving to the next level means thinking different in key ways, and developing a new rhythm of action that supports growth to the next level. Participants will examine beliefs and behaviors to change to support transition to the next level.

  • Individual transition plans will be established for each participant. Learning to manage transitions is the secret to creating a life of growth and building a business that is continually moving from one stage of growth to the next.

Business needs

  • The Accelerator Program will cover all of the core aspects of expertise, eloquence, enterprise, and ethics. Each individual, though, will have specific needs based on their goals. If individual needs are not included in the initial plan, we will identify where in the timeline they should fall and find experts to help us with these.

  • Participants identify their specific needs in each of the following areas:

    • Expertise – Specific needs related to your topic of expertise.

    • Eloquence – Specific parts of the speaking business where they want help. If these are not included in the current plan, they will be added.

    • Enterprise – The primary focus of November and December is the solid development of the business side of speaking for each person. This will include: brand development, sales, marketing, social media, product/program development, client relations, and other connected topics.

    • Ethics – Participants will make verbal and written commitments to build their business in an ethically responsible way.
