The SEAT of Success: How to navigate a front-row speaking career!
Have you ever felt like you were in the balcony and everyone else was in the front-row? Marilyn Sherman, CSP, CPAE, has been speaking professionally since she left her corporate training job in 1998. In addition to writing four books about success, she has accumulated tons of mistakes along the path to her front-row. Join Marilyn, as she shares her ‘Ah-Ha’s and Faux Pas’ — from a girl with a dream to the Speaker Hall of Fame!
You will learn the do’s and don'ts of:
Delivering a keynote.
Connecting with audiences.
Working with speakers bureaus.
Making a lasting impact one speech at a time.
Marilyn will also cover how to overcome fear, comparison to others, doubt, and shame. Everyone deserves a front-row seat and Marilyn wants to help usher you to yours.
Keep shining your unique light and we’ll see you in the front-row!
This month, there is NO afternoon Deep Dive session. Instead, we are excited to offer a raffle drawing, and Marilyn has generously donated her time. ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Hall of Fame speaker Marilyn Sherman, CSP, CPAE, knows how to engage an audience. Since graduating from Washington State University, she has spent years working with high performing teams and leaders, teaching them how to get out of their comfort zone and live and lead from the front-row.
Marilyn teaches people how to focus their energy on those things that will take you toward your goals and not things that distract you from your primary purpose. Attitude is everything and she inspires people to have a more positive contagious enthusiastic attitude to connect with customers, prospects and team members. Finally, Marilyn encourages people to have their tenacity at full capacity to handle adversity. All of her tools help people to have more personal accountability for success knowing that they can become much more effective Front-Row Leaders, performing at the top of their game while illuminating the path for others to succeed.
Marilyn’s four motivational books are: Whose Comfort Zone Are You In, Why Settle for the Balcony? (How to get a Front-Row Seat in Life!), Front-Row Service, and her latest, Is There A Hole In Your Bucket List?
Forbes.com named her latest goal-setting book, Is There A Hole In Your Bucket List?, as one of the top leadership books in 2019 for new managers. There is a reason why Marilyn is on several top speaker and top keynoter lists. She is one of 185 members of the National Speakers Association CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame and also holds the highest earned designation for professional speakers, the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP). Her clients include Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marriott, Ecolab, Johns Hopkins, Kaiser Permanente, and many more. She is also popular with associations of every kind who need to inspire their members with hope and motivation. She was an Artist in Residence for High Point University and serves on the board of the Village of Hope Las Vegas, an after school program for grade school kids who are living at or below the poverty level.
